Couples Wedding Shower

This past weekend I had the pleasure of planning a couples shower for my brother and his fiancé! I knew I wanted to stick with a green and white palette with wooden accents to coordinate with my grandparents’ home (my grandparents generously offered their home for the shower). I started with designing a custom crest for the invitations and carried that crest throughout different elements of the day!

I sorted through vintage stamps to add to the envelopes and I love how they turned out! We also created custom signage! We had a sign outside and in the foyer to welcome guests as they walked in the door. We also used signs for a bar menu, the guessing game and the guestbook! ….Can we talk about the home plate guestbook with the “can we get your autograph?” sign? I spent most of my summers growing up going to my brother’s baseball tournaments and watching him play (with a bag of sunflower seeds in my hand) so the home plate and sunflower seeds were a personal touch that I knew he would love!

Another fun thing we did were the prize baskets! I picked up matching baskets in different sizes and filled them with goodies for the winners of the games. I tied them off with green ribbon to match the theme, of course!

We picked up different types of white and green flowers for the arrangements and I cut some pieces of greenery from the bush in my front yard! I made a few bigger arrangements and used bud vases for the leftover flowers… and I found the perfect green and white wrapping paper to match the theme too!

Remember how I mentioned the crest that I designed for the invites? Well, we also used it on the corn hole boards and found green and white bean bags to tie it in with the rest of the design!

I made chocolate covered pretzels as favors, my mom made her famous cupcakes and picked up a couple of pies for dessert!

We also created a playlist for light music in the background and lit a handful of candles. These two things really made it feel welcoming and set the tone for the day. Candles and music are very inexpensive ways to take your event up a couple notches! I’d definitely recommend!
